On Thursday, our EYFS and Year 1 children were treated to an amazing experience, thanks to the generosity of Jimmy’s family, who brought some of their farm animals to school! The children were thrilled to meet baby lambs, a ewe and even a young calf. Our EYFS pupils had the chance to get up close and personal with the animals and many were delighted to feed them with bottles. Year 1 enjoyed plenty of cuddles and gentle strokes, forming lovely connections with the animals.
Perhaps the biggest animal lover of the day was Mrs O'Loughlin, who was overjoyed to cuddle a lamb - so much so that it fell asleep in her arms!
A big thank you to Jimmy’s wonderful family for making this visit possible. The children loved meeting the animals and were full of fantastic questions, all of which were answered with great care and enthusiasm. What a fantastic day!
