Our school is part of the Lincolnshire Children's Safeguarding Board's Junior Online Safety Officer (JOSO) programme. Each year we select children from Year 5 to be e-safety ambassadors. The LSCB provides several training sessions and sets challenges over the course of the year for the JOSOs to complete and help spread the word about keeping safe online.
The JOSOs role is to help all students learn how to stay safe online. So far, they have created a worry box for students to place any questions or concerns they have, made a ‘hand of safety’ poster signposting who and where they can find help if they have any issues online and created a quiz about recognising fake news.
