Admission Procedure

For entry into Reception in September 2025, Lincolnshire County Council Admissions Department will allocate places to parents who complete an online application.

Where a parent/carer wishes their child to be admitted to the Reception Class at Thurlby Community Primary Academy, they need to apply online at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/schooladmissions

Full details of the application process are available on the website (and can be used to apply for any Lincolnshire primary school). Parent/Carers need to list their primary preferences and complete the application form before 12 noon on 15 January 2025. 

If parents do not have access to a computer they can make a telephone application or request a paper application by calling the Education Team at the Customer Service Centre on 01522 782030. 

Summary of important dates

  • 15th November 2024:online system open for parents
  • 15th January 2025: closing date for parents to apply (national closing date)
  • 10th February 2025: Lincolnshire final closing date for late applications and changes 
  • 16th April 2025: parents can view the offered school online
  • 17th April 2025: Admissions reopen for late applications or changes
  • 19th May 2025: Admissions close

Parents seeking to admit their child to Reception after 31 August 2025 or for places in any other year group will need to submit a mid-year application form, via Lincolnshire County Council.

New Admissions
We require a number of forms to be completed, before our children start with us at Thurlby CP Academy. Please click on the links below and complete the relevant forms as necessary.  The Medical Conditions form only needs completing if you have indicated your child has a medical condition on the Pupil Admission Form. 

Cool Milk Scheme
Our school provides a milk scheme that is available to all of our pupils and we would like to invite you to register your child. School milk is free for under 5's and is available for over 5's at a subsidised rate. If you would like to register your child please visit the Cool Milk website
