Our Play Leaders are a wonderful asset to our school due to their tireless work with our younger children. The Play Leaders are pupils from years 5 and 6, who receive training from Rupert Gibson, the School Games Organiser for Lincolnshire South East at the beginning of each academic year. Rupert trains the leaders, alongside some of our midday supervisors, in how to support our EYFS and KS1 children in developing game skills as well as learning how to cooperate and communicate with their peers. After the Play Leaders have been trained, they take turns in spending their lunchtimes leading our younger pupils during their lunchtime play, demonstrating their commitment and dedication to their roles.
