Family Learning - Winter Makers

We had a fun and messy time at Family Learning this week with our workshop 'Winter Makers'. The adults learnt about the benefits of crafting and baking and explored how these types of activities link to the National Curriculum. They also took part in some fun discussion activities and games that linked to Christmas, that could be taken home and played with their families. During the joint session, when their children joined us, the learners put their skills to practise and made some yummy Rice Crispy Christmas Puddings, where instructions were read together, weighing skills were practised, science vocabulary was used, and everyone's hands got a bit messy. Learners and children had a really great time and were so proud of what they had made. Thank you to everyone that took part and engaged in the activities.
