Lego and Coding Club

Published: 14th January 2026

This week, several children from Year 2 and 3 attended the first Lego coding club, during which, they got to build a small Lego model and then using motors, hubs and sensors. They programmed them to move, light up and make sounds. Eliana and Betsy created a glowing snail that made noises and then extended this by adding a moving fan to the top. Eli and Joshua made a handle that released a spinning top and added sounds to it. Derin, Alex and Thomas built an airplane with a tilt sensor and programmed the propeller to spin as the plane was moved about. All the children worked really hard and Miss Titman was impressed with their enthusiasm and hard work. I wonder what they will create next week!
