VE Day - Thursday 8th May

We had a lovely day on Thursday, celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. The children all looked fabulous in their red, white and blue ensembles or 1940s clothes. Thank you to families for their support. In our whole school assembly, Mrs Finch played ‘We’ll Meet Again’ by Vera Lynn and we watched a video of how the royal family and the city of London commemorated throughout the week. We listened to war veterans speaking about their memories of VE day and children who have been inspired by their older relatives to join the armed forces.
