World Book Day

Children and staff had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day on Thursday. The event is a great opportunity to inspire children to enjoy reading for fun. There were, as always, some amazing book character costumes and some fabulous ‘silent letter’ word outfits. We had fun guessing everybody’s creations. Our KS2 children shared books with our EYFS/KS1 children and lots of reading activities took place in class. Thank you to our families for providing/creating these costumes and for your continued support in working together to encourage our children to have a love of reading. Congratuations to our 'Silent Letter' winners who came to school dressed as 'ballet', 'Autumn', 'phoenix' and 'gnome'.
