Year 1 visit - St Firmin's Church

On Thursday, Year 1 had the wonderful opportunity to visit one of local churches, St Firmin’s. The children walked very sensibly down to the church, showing amazing listening skills and represented our school beautifully. On arrival, we had a tour of all the parts of the church and then learnt a little bit more about the Easter story and Lent. The children also had a very special job to do. They were asked to create a print, using sponges and paint and all their prints will be attached to a new curtain which will be being put up inside the church very soon. How amazing! Well done Year 1, you were all superstars! Thank you to the volunteers who walked down with us too!
