Year 5 and 6 Netball Tournament

This week, two teams of our Year 5 and 6 pupils proudly represented Thurlby at a local netball tournament. Both teams took part in a round-robin of games against three other local schools, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout.

All of the children truly showcased the Thurlby values and represented the school wonderfully. Their effort, enthusiasm and brilliant netball skills made Miss Baldwin very proud!

After some exciting matches, one of our teams successfully progressed to the playoffs and finished in an amazing 2nd place. This fantastic result means the team have now qualified for the county championships, which will take place in the summer term.

A huge well done to all of the children for their hard work and positive attitude and thank you to the staff who supported the teams on the day. We are incredibly proud of you all!
